Mentally, all the Apas are extremely friendly and supportive, they have made me who I am today. The Madrasah is always there and I know if have any problems at all they are always there for me. Currently I am taking a gap year, but I come into to volunteer as I miss it so much.
Haleemah
The 7 years I spent at Al Nur have been the best part of my life. The natural camaraderie between myself and my classmates still exists to this day. Our Apas provided a good support network and inspired us to be the best that we can be. They helped nurture us into the individuals we are today. I believe that secular education alongside my academic studies, definitely helped me.
Khadija
I spent 6 years at Al Nur Supplementary school, studying Islamic theology alongside my academic studies, needless to say my Islamic studies helped me endlessly with my academic studies. Whether it was GCSE’s or A-levels, and to this day the skills I have developed continue to aid me in all aspects of life.
The Apa’s, through their wisdom, taught us many aspects of Islam, relevant to our daily lives which gave us a more profound understanding of our religion. They gave us a focus and provided us with knowledge to carry through every step of our lives. Those 6 years shaped us in to who we are today.
Shazia
Throughout the many years that I studied at Al Nur Madrasah I have learnt things that benefit me in this life and will do the next. The Apas are dedicated to pass all the knowledge and wisdom they possess. Their guidance was one of the many reasons why madrasah was very insightful. We were taught deep understanding of Islam and how to relay it into our daily lives. Studying about our religion alongside GCSEs and A-Levels was not at all burdensome, but a great opportunity that worked out well at the end.
Sumaya
There are many places you can go to seek knowledge, especially in Bolton but the strong bond that students have with the Apas is what sets Al Nur apart. Here, the Apas are friendly and approachable and genuinely care about the students, not just in their studies but in personal matters and always try to do what they can to help. It’s an honour to have been able to do my Alimah course at this mosque and I would never dream of doing it anywhere else.
