Back to Madrasah/School
Apas /teachers and students alike tend to dread going back to Madrasah/school after a long break. Whether it is summer break, winter break, or even spring break, returning to Madrasah/school after a long break can be a stressful proposition.
Before going back be sure to plan ahead. There are lots of details in your life that can make going back to Madrasah/school stressful, especially after a long break. Getting those in order can smooth the way for you to transition back.
Keep a Steady Routine
It is important to get yourself into a routine before you start.
If you study/sit to pray at about the same time each day, you will begin to get used to doing so. You won’t even have to think twice about sitting down to study/sit to pray and it won’t make it seem so tiring each time you have to do it. Also, you will be on top with your revision so when you return back to Madrasah/school you will not find it difficult settling down and moving on to the next part of the sabak/lesson.
Remember to pray your Sunnah duas daily as you are doing each task e.g eating, sleeping etc., praying the kalimas and praying the surahs you have learned in your salah. Remind your family members of the duas. This will make it easy for you when you return to Madrasah and you will be rewarded too.
Sleeping pattern
Our sleep pattern changes during the holidays, sleeping late and waking up late. Make sure you start adjusting your body at least a few days before you start back by waking up early a day and then automatically you’ll feel tired and sleepy in the evening, leading to an earlier bed time, thus you have already adjusted your body before returning.
Allah SWT has given us free time and it is a ne’mat (blessing) and should not be wasted.
Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your illness, your riches before your poverty, your free time before your work, and your life before your death.”
In shaa Allah looking forward to seeing you all soon.
